<\/p>\nAbout seven years ago, a member of my family had a baby. He was a tiny little fella and when I got asked if I wanted to hold him for the first time it was one of the most nervous moments of my life.<\/p>\n
Here he was, this little human being, the size of a loaf of bread, and his parents are asking me to hold him and make sure he’s given back to them in the same condition he was handed to me in.<\/p>\n
It’s a humbling experience and one that I don’t think any person should take lightly.<\/p>\n
Kids are so innocent and helpless. It’s the reason why you can kill a busload of nuns and you will be welcome to prison by all the other inmates like a long-lost friend; but if you harmed a child they will beat you into a grease spot.<\/p>\n
I don’t get people that harm children. I don’t get people that abuse children.<\/p>\n
I don’t understand what gets into the heads of some people that think harming a child is an ok thing to do.<\/p>\n
When I was a kid, and my parents would have to go out of town for a couple of days, there would generally be a member of the family or a trusted friend that would stay with us and watch us to make sure we were ok.<\/p>\n
They wouldn’t hardly go out of town for the afternoon without leaving us with someone watching us.<\/p>\n

Kristel Candelario is a monster, plain and simple.<\/p>\n
Last year, she went on a ten day vacation with her boyfriend. That in and of itself isn’t a crime, but the fact that she left her infant daughter alone for those ten days.<\/p>\n

The poor girl had no way of being fed. No way of changing her diapers.<\/p>\n
She died of starvation. I can’t think of anything more evil than letting your child die of starvation.<\/p>\n
Once the police were called to her house upon her return, she was taken into custody and at this point has been sentenced to life without parole.<\/p>\n
It’s hard to imagine someone being this evil. But that is the world we live in.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"About seven years ago, a member of my family had a baby.
