The propaganda corps is ordering them to &#8220;<em>ramp up their scrutiny<\/em>&#8221; of House Republicans, &#8220;<em>for opening an impeachment inquiry based on lies.<\/em>&#8221; The spin doctors blatantly start with the assumption that all the hard <a href=\"https:\/\/breakingheadlinestories.com\/index.php\/2023\/09\/13\/european-commission-report-contradicts-joe-bidens-ukraine-claims\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">evidence<\/a> already uncovered is somehow factually wrong.<\/p>\n<h2>Authoritarian media censorship<\/h2>\n<p>The way Jonathan Turley expresses it, &#8220;<em>I have previously written how the level of advocacy and bias has created a <a href=\"https:\/\/jonathanturley.org\/2023\/09\/13\/marching-orders-white-house-letter-tells-media-to-ramp-up-their-scrutiny-in-response-to-impeachment-inquiry\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">danger<\/a> of a de facto state media in the United States.<\/em>&#8221; When the constitutional law professor got wind of a new directive from Biden officials, he was quick to type up a column proclaiming &#8220;<em>I told you so.<\/em>&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>In it, he points out that it really is &#8220;<em>possible to have such a system by consent rather than coercion.<\/em>&#8221; Panic stricken Democrats out to do major damage control aren&#8217;t looking to build a consensus. They pulled out the heavy censorship equipment.<\/p>\n<p>A letter went out &#8220;<em>drafted by the Biden White House Legal Counsel&#8217;s Office,<\/em>&#8221; proving who really sets administration policy. The document was an order to all the network media outlets to &#8220;<em>ramp up their scrutiny<\/em>&#8221; of House Republicans &#8220;<em>for opening an impeachment inquiry based on lies.<\/em>&#8221;<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Watergate Watch: Jonathan Turley writes about the White House Legal Counsel&#39;s Office doing what it can&#39;t legally do. Maybe James Carville turned down the gig.<a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/KTeWWWTkag\">https:\/\/t.co\/KTeWWWTkag<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/8HgpFp6rb7\">pic.twitter.com\/8HgpFp6rb7<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Susan Shelley (@Susan_Shelley) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Susan_Shelley\/status\/1701997310899826805?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">September 13, 2023<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>They don&#8217;t provide a shred of evidence to support that the hard evidence already obtained isn&#8217;t authentic or accurate. It&#8217;s been declared lies. So to the press, lies are now what they are, even if totally true.<\/p>\n<p>The &#8220;<em>aggressive<\/em>&#8221; message from Stuart Frank Delery is &#8220;<em>curious and concerning<\/em>&#8221; to Turley. Joe&#8217;s defenders are &#8220;<em>now actively involved in pushing narratives and denying factual allegations linked to the Biden corruption scandal.<\/em>&#8221; We haven&#8217;t seen that since Watergate. Even more interesting, Delery didn&#8217;t write it.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;<em>That could create Nixonian-type allegations of the abuse of office in the use of federal employees to counter impeachment efforts.<\/em>&#8221; What&#8217;s even more concerning is who typed up the letter to the media outlets.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-630\" src=\"https:\/\/breakingheadlinestories.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/IanSams02.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" srcset=\"https:\/\/breakingheadlinestories.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/IanSams02.jpg 800w, https:\/\/breakingheadlinestories.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/IanSams02-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/breakingheadlinestories.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/IanSams02-768x432.jpg 768w, https:\/\/breakingheadlinestories.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/IanSams02-380x214.jpg 380w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/p>\n<h2>No pretense of separation<\/h2>\n<p>The media&#8217;s marching orders were &#8220;<em>drafted by Ian Sams, a spokesperson for the White House Counsel&#8217;s Office.<\/em>&#8221; That&#8217;s not good because it means &#8220;<em>White House lawyers are now enlisting the media in a counter-media campaign against impeachment.<\/em>&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The letter obviously &#8220;<em>removes any pretense of separation between the Biden personal legal team and the White House Counsel&#8217;s office.<\/em>&#8221; Sams is noteworthy for his skills &#8220;<em>in actively swatting down allegations of corruption.<\/em>&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>You&#8217;re either with the official narrative or against it, Sams proclaims.
