Poor Alvin Bragg.<\/p>\n

When he indicted Trump, he thought he was going to be first in line.<\/p>\n

It now appears that the federal cases have pushed Alvin Bragg to the back.<\/p>\n

Wait Your Turn<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

The January 6 case jumped the line, with Judge Chutkan scheduling the start of the trial on March 4.<\/p>\n

This was a strategic date because Super Tuesday is the next day.<\/p>\n

I would bet a stack that she wanted to make sure that Trump was tied up for the meat of the primary race.<\/p>\n

The problem for Bragg is that his trial is three weeks later, and there is no way that the January 6 case would be completed in three weeks.<\/p>\n

Apparently, the judge assigned to Bragg’s case feels the same way.<\/p>\n

They were scheduled for a trial conference this week, but that was delayed until February.<\/p>\n

The judge told Bragg, \u201cIn light of the many recent developments involving Mr. Trump and his rapidly evolving trial schedule, I do not believe it would be fruitful for us to conference this case on September 15 to discuss scheduling.”<\/p>\n

At this point, that case may not come to fruition until well after the election.<\/p>\n

Then, of course, the question becomes if we can have a sitting president on trial while he is serving in office.<\/p>\n

That is something else that may have to be litigated in court, and I would bet just about anything if there is a shot that Trump can win such a case, he will file a suit.<\/p>\n

Then it is just a matter of how much longer Trump can sustain these massive legal bills.<\/p>\n

Keep in mind, he has already paid out more than $50 million from campaign funds, and he has not even gone to trial yet.<\/p>\n

Right now, he is piling up hundreds of legal hours every week as his legal teams prepare for these upcoming trials.<\/p>\n

Then there are the trials and appeals, which will take up even more manpower.<\/p>\n

If he does not have the campaign cash to cover these bills, he will start to dip into his personal funds, something he is trying to avoid at all costs.<\/p>\n
