At approximately 4 AM on Tuesday morning, residents near an industrial site in Ramat Hasharon were jolted awake by a loud explosion accompanied by a bright flash of light.
Video footage taken from a driver’s dashboard showed the intense magnitude of the blast.
Witnesses who were nearby described seeing “a very strong flash of light” that lit up “the sky like daylight in the morning” followed by a “large mushroom of smoke” emerging from the area.

The Israel Fire and Rescue Services immediately responded to emergency calls from security personnel at the factory and were able to gain control over several centers of combustion without using any hazardous materials.
Three individuals were injured as a result with one person sustaining serious wounds and two receiving minor injuries.
Authorities are currently investigating what caused this incident but it follows similar explosions that have occurred in coastal cities such as Herzliya due to improperly stored gunpowder from old ammunition factories.
