Sick White House Memo Leaked, Media Outraged

As most of you know, House Speaker McCarthy (R-CA) ordered the House to move forward with its impeachment inquiry on September 12. The White House continues to push the narrative that there is no evidence against Joe Biden. So much so, in fact, a spokesperson sent a memo to news outlets telling them to shred Republicans over the inquiry.

Beyond Bold

After the impeachment inquiry was announced, spokesperson Ian Sams sent out a memo to journalists.

The memo, in part, stated, “After nearly 9 months of investigating, House Republicans haven’t been able to turn up any evidence of the President doing anything wrong. But House Republicans led by Marjorie Taylor Greene are nonetheless opening a baseless impeachment inquiry of President Biden – despite many House Republicans openly admitting there is no evidence on which to support it”

The memo offered up quotes from various Republicans who made statements about the impeachment, but notice that the memo did not include dates, which is extremely important because many of these comments were made early on.

It concluded, “It’s time for the media to ramp up its scrutiny of House Republicans for opening an impeachment inquiry based on lies. When even House Republican members are admitting that there is simply no evidence that Joe Biden did anything wrong, much less impeachable, that should set off alarm bells for news organizations.”

Now, imagine a memo going out like that from the Trump administration, or any Republican administration… what do you think the reporting would be by the media?

There was some pushback, however.

One journalist stated, “They should be playing hardball and instead what they’re doing is bitching about the media.

“I don’t think the media likes being told what to do. I think it’s going to backfire.

“It seems to say to me that they believe the media will just do what [the White House] tells them. It’s a terrible look for the administration.”

The evidence is there.

We have the laptop. We have audio tapes of phone conversations. We have bank records. And we have multiple whistleblowers who have testified.

We can agree or disagree about impeachment being the smartest move by the party, but the evidence is clearly there to warrant it.

But sadly, it will never pass through the Senate.
