In unfortunate circumstances like these, it really shows that you have no idea what Hollywood stars may or may not be like away from the cameras and behind closed doors. Online vigilante group Creep Catcher Unit recently conducted a pedophile sting operation and exposed Hollywood actor Gabriel Jarret. The 53-year-old actor, best known for his roles in ‘Real Genius’ and ‘Karate Kid III’, was caught messaging a decoy created by the group, whom Jarret believed to be 14 years old.
The content of the messages exchanged between Jarret and the decoy were wildly unsettling. KTTV reported that the two engaged in an online relationship for over a year, with Jarret making references to oral sex and wanting to meet up with her as her ‘advisor’.
On Sept 10th, he set up a rendezvous at the Santa Monica Pier with what he believed was an underage girl.
When confronted by CCU leader Ghost on camera, Jarret was seen speeding off on his scooter after being asked to stop filming. Jarret adamantly denied any wrong doing claiming that he believed she was 18 years old instead of 14. He later tried to shift blame claiming that it was the CC Unit that sent explicit messages rather than him.
In 2018, according to TMZ, ex-girlfriend Jennifer Marie Alfano accused Jarrett of pedophilia and rape leading to a restraining order but no charges were filed against him due to lack of evidence. The SMPD have confirmed they are investigating Jarrett’s case based on evidence provided by CC Unit but so far no arrests have been made.
At this stage it remains unclear whether justice will be served or not in this case as authorities continue their investigation into these shocking allegations against Gabriel Jarrett.
It is deeply concerning how easily predators can access minors online using apps such as Kik. Luckily, commendable work is being done by vigilantes such as Creep Catchers Unit in catching would-be perpetrators like Jarrett before they can cause harm.
