In an update to the breaking story about a terrorist attack on a police post in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula on September 6, the suspect is in custody. Police have disclosed a lot more detail to go with their latest report.

Wounded terrorist in custody

At around 3:15 a.m. Wednesday morning, September 6, the suspected domestic terrorist driving “a silver-colored Honda CRV entered the driveway of the Sault Ste. Marie Post.” He casually parked and exited the vehicle “wearing camouflage.

Just as casually, he “doused several patrol vehicles with gasoline and set them on fire.” Then, he went back to the car for his rifle. As the cop cars blazed, he used them for target practice, firing “multiple rounds into and around the patrol vehicles.

The post’s police cruisers weren’t moving anywhere without a tow truck but that didn’t prevent authorities from carrying out a full investigation. They also had a whole bunch of help from the alert rural community. “Multiple tips” led to the suspect’s location.

Their terrorist was located Thursday around 1:45 p.m., “on Riverside Road in Chippewa County.” The Michigan State Police Emergency Support Team managed to serve their warrant but it wasn’t easy.

During the execution of the search warrant, the suspect, a 39-year-old male from Florida, fired gunshots toward troopers at which time troopers returned fire.

The terrorist isn’t as good of a shot as the police. “The suspect was injured and has been taken by ambulance to My Michigan Medical Center where he is being treated for his injuries.” Nothing serious got ventilated.

Maximum charges sought

Officials note that their yet unnamed terrorist “remains in custody at this time.” Thankfully, “no officers were injured.” While there’s still a totally active investigation, “maximum charges are being sought.

Michigan State Police were grateful for all the help they got from everyone.

After the armed arsonist ambushed officers of the law in their own barracks, everyone in a uniform swooped in to help track down the terrorist who did it.

MSP was “assisted by the ATF, FBI, Chippewa County Sheriff’s Office, Sault Ste. Marie City Police, Bay Mills Police Dept., Homeland Security Investigation, Sault Tribal Police, Customs and Border Patrol, Sault Ste. Marie Fire Dept, Bruce Township Fire and Kinross E.M.S.

The only thing we know about the terrorist suspect is that he’s not from around there. How and why the unnamed assailant got all the way from America’s southern Florida beaches to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, along the Canadian border remains a mystery.

If he wanted to migrate into Canada he could have been in Quebec by now without anyone noticing. Instead, he stuck around on this side of the line and teased the police to go ahead and come get him.
