Pop star and music icon Britney Spears certainly isn’t a stranger when it comes to showing off a little skin, as seen from her numerous Instagram posts. And this time, she made headlines after suffering an embarrassing wardrobe malfunction out in public. It was just the other day that video footage of Britney Spears falling out of her dress while partying in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico went viral.
The incident happened when Britney was dancing at Baja Diablo on Sunday night and the sleeve of her red dress suddenly fell off her shoulder, exposing her breast to everyone around her.
As if this wasn’t embarrassing enough for the singer, she seemed oblivious to everything going on and continued to dance while security attempted to block her from view.
Accompanied by a female friend who didn’t seem fazed by the incident at all, Britney’s wardrobe malfunction caused quite a stir among onlookers and quickly spread across social media platforms.
Taking to Instagram after the video surfaced online, Britney admitted she was embarrassed by what had happened but seemed more concerned about how she looked than anything else.
Even though it is likely one of those moments that many would want to forget about as soon as possible, fans were quick to comment with support for their idol and even praise her ability to remain calm despite such an awkward situation.
In response to this incident, it appears that Britney handled it rather well considering how mortifying it must have been for someone famous like herself.
She wrote an apology post on Instagram where she expressed embarrassment but then changed topic altogether by mentioning Italy which is where she wanted to go next for some spaghetti and meatballs.
The caption read:
“I’m embarrassed as hell !!! Like a lost idiot I heard music and horns from my car 🚗 !!! I walked in like a deer in headlights and had no idea I was being recorded from all sides !!! I’m only human and I have no idea what the hell is going on with my hair but I made a pit stop in Mexico 🇲🇽 !!! I’m headed to Italy 🇮🇹 now to grab my favorite spaghetti and meat BALLS 🍝 !!! I know the owner there so hopefully he can get me in through the back door 🤕🤦🏼♀️ !!!”
Although no doubt still feeling uncomfortable in light of what had happened, clearly there was only so much that could be done about it now anyway and so turning attention elsewhere perhaps helped distract from any further embarrassment or pain felt due to the wardrobe malfunction itself.
This embarrassing moment comes soon after the announcement of Spears’ divorce from her now ex-husband Sam Asghari.
These days it seems that fans are just waiting for the next Britney Spears headline to hit, as the star definitely isn’t shy about putting herself out there to flaunt her newly single lifestyle.
