In a shocking turn of events, ‘Sound of Freedom’ producer Eduardo Verástegui has decided to take a giant leap in his political career by registering as an independent candidate for the 2024 presidential race in Mexico. Verástegui holds the support of former US President Donald Trump, religious groups as well as the Republican Mexico party, putting him in a favorable position for the race.

Verástegui is a conservative who stands firmly against abortion and is unbothered by opponents labeling him as “ultra-right.”

As part of the Viva Mexico movement, he has championed various causes that will bring about positive change in Mexico.

In a recent statement Verástequi said “I want to change Mexico, this is a struggle for the freedom of Mexico and I am convinced that it will not be by the usual way, by the usual gap; with same parties as always, same politicians as always making same promises which never seem to be fulfilled.”

He went on to highlight current issues in Mexico such as poverty, corruption and violence claiming these are all factors which have prevented progress from happening.

It appears that Eduardo Verāstegui has all bases covered when it comes to support from other politicians and influential people.

Former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro’s son Eduardo Bolsonaro was instrumental in uncovering him as a presidential candidate within the framework of Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC).

Moreover Donald Trump who called him “the next president of Mexico” during an event promoting his movie has also expressed his backing for Verāstegui’s candidacy.

This plus religious groups’ endorsement gives us confidence that he can spark much needed changes in Mexican politics if elected.

Only time will tell whether Eduardo Verasteguí will become successful in his ambitious endeavor or not but one thing we know for sure: He certainly looks like he means business!

Let’s hope this brave initiative brings good news to the country of Mexico in the near future.
