The highly anticipated interview between former president Donald Trump and Tucker Carlson on Wednesday night undoubtedly exceeded expectations and shattered records, leaving traditional media outlets reeling.
Episode 19, titled “Debate Night with Donald J. Trump” racked in a staggering 212.3 million views, which is more than nine times higher than the debate ratings record back in 2015 that was largely attributed to Trump’s participation.
When FOX broke debate ratings record in 2015, B/C of Trump, it was 24M viewers.
It will not come anywhere near the @TuckerCarlson interview with Donald Trump, which was about 74M at end and now appx. 190M.
Trump won the debate based on that and opponent errors at the debate.

Pollster Rich Baris highlighted this overwhelming contrast between the two events by tweeting: “When FOX broke the debate ratings record in 2015 because of Trump, it was 24M viewers. It will not come anywhere near the @TuckerCarlson interview with Donald Trump, which was about 74M at end and now approximately 190M.”
This proves that there is still an immense amount of support for President Trump among his supporters who tuned into this interview to hear what he had to say.
Sebastian Gorka also commented on the impressive numbers of views that this episode got by tweeting: “75 million viewers for Tucker and President Trump in one hour. FOX is dead.”
While it does look like Fox News may have lost out on some viewership due to their decision not to host the other candidates during their debates last year, Tucker himself seems to be doing just fine as he continues his own show without any issues from traditional networks like Fox News or CNN keeping him down.

One particular topic discussed in detail during this interview between Carlton and President Trump was regarding whether or not he believed that his political enemies would try to have him killed as his poll numbers continue to rise despite the four indictments brought against him.
To put it simply as Carlson did: “Are you worried that they’re going to try and kill you? Why wouldn’t they try to kill you honestly?”
In response, Trump said: “They are people who are really sick”.
He also explained that while there are still plenty of good people within Democratic Party, he had seen what lengths those radical leftists were willing to go to get rid of anyone who stands up against them – including false accusations made against him such as RussiaGate.
However, Trump concluded by stating that he wants nothing more than to be a president for all Americans regardless of political affiliation.
All in all, Wednesday night’s exclusive sit down between Donald Trump and Tucker Carlson proved incredibly successful both from an entertainment standpoint as well as providing insight into key Republican figures’ opinions about current events today and where we may head next politically speaking under their leadership.
This interview shattered records proving once again why Donald Trump is so influential within American politics today.
