Democrat Politician’s Mugshot Goes VIRAL

As I’m sure we’re all well aware by now, former President Donald Trump’s mugshot made headlines worldwide after he was arrested in Fulton County on August 24th. However, rather than harm his political position like Democrats expected, this infamous photo only further increased his popularity.

The long-time Republican presidential candidate and current front-runner for the GOP nomination has since seen a surge in fundraising numbers as merchandise featuring his now-famous mugshot has been sold.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr., another contender for the Democratic presidential nomination, commented that this strategy of turning something potentially negative into a positive seemed to have “worked very well for him.”

Kennedy elaborated further by saying how it was “an interesting and probably very shrewd decision for him to put on that very defiant face. I think it’s very popular with his base.”

When asked whether the mugshot would appeal to the Democrat base, Kennedy stated:

“I had a mugshot when I was arrested in Puerto Rico in 2001 when I was doing a protest against the Navy on a lawsuit that I eventually won that got the Navy out of Vieques,” he said. “But when you’re arrested, you get the mugshot, you have a strategic decision about whether — how you want to look.

“I wondered whether he practiced it in front of a mirror or whether he was just angry at the time and that reflected what he did. But I thought from a strategic point of view it worked very well for him.”

Donald Trump turned himself in to authorities following an indictment by special counsel Jack Smith for election interference claims and was then processed by local officials who “insisted” on having him sit for a mugshot according to Fox News interviews with those present at the time.

Afterward, he told Fox that he did not enjoy being there but felt it was necessary, as it was “not a comfortable feeling — especially when you’ve done nothing wrong.”

Since the release of his mugshot, Trump has raised more than $20 million in one month alone which comes from merchandise sales including coffee mugs ($864K), T-shirts ($2M), and posters ($352K).

This influx of funds will be used to further power his campaign over the coming months alongside donations received directly from supporters.

It appears as though Donald Trump’s “shrewd” decision to use an uncomfortable situation such as being arrested and booked may have paid off after all, financially speaking.
