Michelle Obama Left Horrified After Damning Footage Goes VIRAL

Oops. Former First Lady Michelle Obama just made a shocking mistake while speaking at a naturalization ceremony for 50 new U.S. citizens held in Washington D.C. This horrifying gaffe is sure to stick with her for quite some time now. She claimed that the Founding Fathers of America were not born in the United States.

While her comments about immigration being “at the heart of how we developed as a nation” were inspiring, she was wrong to note that none of the 56 signers of the Declaration of Independence were born American citizens. The truth is that many of our founding fathers were born American citizens and others had become naturalized before they signed the Declaration of Independence in 1776.

As Republicans, it’s important to defend our history when it comes under attack from those who don’t understand or appreciate what our forefathers did for this great country.

Let’s take a look at some key figures from America’s foundation: George Washington was born in Virginia, John Adams and Thomas Jefferson both hailed from Massachusetts, Benjamin Franklin was born in Pennsylvania, James Madison came from Virginia, Alexander Hamilton was born in British-occupied Nevis (now part of St Kitts & Nevis) and so on.

The list goes on – but one thing is certain: these men weren’t foreigners but rather proud Americans since birth or by citizenship before signing their names to what would become an iconic document throughout history – The Declaration Of Independence.

Despite her error regarding our Founding Fathers, Mrs. Obama’s message about immigration still rings true today: immigration has been essential to America’s development over time and continues to be vital for its future prosperity too.

Immigration brings with it diversity and innovation; two things necessary for success amongst any society or nation state no matter its size or age.

Immigrants come from all walks of life with different ideas and experiences which can help us grow both socially and economically over time without sacrificing any sense of tradition or culture ingrained within us already.
