Joe Biden’s time as Vice President has been under the microscope lately, as Republicans have been digging into his and his son Hunter’s involvement with Ukraine.
After recent testimony from Hunter’s former business partner, Devon Archer, there are now questions about whether Joe Biden abused his power while in office.
With mounting evidence that Joe used pseudonyms to discuss activities related to Ukraine with Hunter during his time as vice president, we must ask: was there a conflict of interest?
The Republican House Oversight Committee led by Chairman James Comer is now calling for an investigation into the matter, and seeking unrestricted access to records that may reveal exactly what happened while Joe Biden held office as Vice President.
According to documents obtained by DailyMail.com, Comer has written a letter to Colleen Shogan, the Archivist of the United States asking for “any document or communication” that includes Robert Peters, Robin Ware, and JRB Ware as senders or recipients from then-Vice President Biden.
They are also demanding communications between Hunter Biden and his business partners Devon Archer and Eric Schwerin.
Emails found on Hunter’s laptop revealed other pseudonyms Joe may have used—Robin Ware, Robert L Peters and JRB Ware—which were all requested by the Republicans in their search for documents indicating communication between father and son regarding Burisma Holdings.
Earlier this month Devon Archer testified before the House Oversight Committee revealing further details about Joe Biden’s involvement with Burisma Holdings during his time as vice president.
It appears that Hunter used his father’s influence in order to protect the company from government pressure due to their ongoing Ukrainian investigation into corruption at the time – led by top prosecutor Viktor Shokin.
On at least two occasions Joe had dinner with Hunter and foreign business partners who wired money almost immediately after to Biden affiliated companies.
Not only did he have dinner with them but he was also present for meetings on speakerphone 20 times over a 10 year period according to Archer’s testimony which was seen as a ‘signal’ of ‘value.’
In addition, it appears Joe sat in on another dinner with Hunter and Burisma executives where according to one note sent by an executive following dinner said: “Thank you for inviting me to DC and giving me an opportunity to meet your father.”
Furthermore, during another four seasons dinner in Dubai with Burisma executives they mentioned needing help from D.C., although they never specifically asked “can the big guy help?”
However, it seems obvious what they were implying when referring to D.C.
Joe Biden has always stated there was ‘an absolute wall’ between himself and any foreign business dealings involving his son Hunter yet evidence suggests otherwise.
Granted we don’t know if anything illegal took place however these discoveries do raise questions regarding just how much influence Joe had on Ukraine during his tenure as vice president.
Especially considering $1 billion dollars worth of aid was withheld until fired prosecutor Shokin left office in March 2016–just three months after taking part in dinners with Burisma executives alongside Hunter where he could have potentially heard talk about needing help from D.C.
