Country music singer Zach Bryan was arrested in Oklahoma on Thursday, September 7th, after an altercation with the police. In dashcam footage of the incident obtained by Fox News Digital, Bryan is seen approaching his security guard’s white SUV which had been pulled over for speeding. When he is instructed to return to his vehicle or face arrest, Bryan responds “I’ll go to jail, let’s do it”. He is then placed in handcuffs and escorted to a police car where he continuously complains about how tight the handcuffs are.

In an X post addressing the incident later that night, Bryan apologized for his behavior saying “Emotions got the best of me and I was out of line in the things I said… I support law enforcement as much as anyone can, I was just frustrated in the moment, it was unlike me and I apologize”. On Friday morning he followed up with a video posted on his Instagram story further explaining what happened and apologizing again. In it, he states “because I don’t want the internet to do what the internet does and like, I don’t know make stuff up.”

According to reports from Fox News and police records obtained by them, after being arrested Bryan continued to express his frustration but also commentated positively on certain aspects of his experience with law enforcement. The arresting officer noted that though initially too tight, they adjusted them for Bryan’s comfort. He also mentioned knowing several officers personally having invited 40 of them to recent shows. Despite this positive interaction, however, there were still negative aspects present such as him claiming “f—ing cops are out of hand.”

Bryan has since expressed sincere remorse for this incident through statements made both online and off including an apology video posted on X Friday afternoon where he stated “I am embarrassed for myself, my family, and people I love but all I can do now is sincerely apologize”. At this time no further details have been released about any possible legal repercussions stemming from this event.
